DIWALI – A festival of lights and Unity and Culture.
As the festival of Diwali lit up hearts and hallways, JIVA came alive with vibrant colours, joyous laughter, and the spirit of togetherness. The event was a beautiful tapestry woven from the threads of tradition, creativity and cultural pride. The celebrations began with a soulful invocation and lightening of the ceremonial lamp, the triumph of light over darkness.
Firstly the program was started with Srimannaarayana nrutya pradarsana that depicted the greatness of our Creator followed by the speech by our beloved Principal, Ms. Umavathy Ma’am about our cultures and traditions to shape the young minds and even about Sri Chinnajeeyar swaamiji, our Great Guru, on the auspicious occasion of HIS THIRUNAKSHATRAM, and HIS holy works to the society, as an example to lead the young minds towards divinity and humanity. Later the students portrayed the essence of Diwali through’ Nrutya Rupaka Nataka’ performance which really touched the hearts and enlightened the young minds. Some other performances like skit to depict the activities of the special day including Goddess Lakshmi Pooja and 56 sweet dishes offerings to the Goddess.Later to make the students to understand the real essence of Diwali with the words of ” VICTORY of GOOD OVER EVIL” the Narakasura effigy was bursted by the children who played roles as Lord Krishna and Satyabhaama leaded by Principal ma’am , to teach the practical demonstration of slay of Devil to get the Victory for the Good followed by bursting some crackers like flower pots.
A message of Diwali is not just a celebration but reaffirmation of our commitment to holistic education where academic excellence meets cultural grounding. Festivals assure that they are not just rituals but reflections of values that bind us as a community.
JAI SRIMANNARAYANA.
