OUR JOURNEY
Jiva Gurukulum was established in the year 2019 with the blessings of His Holiness Sri Sri Sri Tridandi Chinna Srimannarayana Ramanuja Jeeyar Swamiji. Throughout the year 2019-20 various activities were held to inculcate moral values among the children. All the festivals were celebrated to acquaint the children to our tradition and culture. Children actively participated in the festivities and got a glimpse of our glorious customs and practices. Various in house competitions were held to improve the communication skills and overcome stage fear. Alongside academics equal importance is given to sports and various sports events were held to bring about team spirit and coordination among the children. On 28th February Science Day was held to showcase the innate talents of our children and help them to gain knowledge about science and the latest advancements in technology. We continue to conduct various events to provide a platform to children so that they become leaders and achievers of tomorrow.

The activity and competition were designed according to the age group. Many students enthusiastically participated in this activity and competition. Children made beautiful idols of Lord Ganesha using vegetable and fruit carvings. They have sent the pics of the idols carved by them to their respective class teachers which was in turn made into a collage. Children sent the recorded videos of their speeches. Though it is the first time, children have done a splendid job shooting short videos. The selected children participated in the second round which was held virtually. Certificates have been mailed to the winners. We all miss the fun and frolic that we experience in the school premises. Children enjoyed the festival by talking part in the activity and competition.
TEACHER’S DAY CELEBRATION 2020
05 September 2020 was a memorable day for us all teachers, especially since this was the first time, we had the Teacher’s day celebration virtually. It was a pleasure to receive so many wishes from the children who made an effort to create a greeting card and share a picture on WhatsApp, record a message in their own voice, share a video of their dance performance and many other ways simply to convey their respect for the teachers.
The best part with the virtual celebrations is that we can keep seeing these messages over and over again, which shows the rapport, respect and bond shared in between us and the students.
The next was the online celebration amongst we teachers and the school management. For some time, we ourselves felt like kids doing a fashion show, playing antakshari and word guessing based on hints given by other teacher, with our giggles and loud laughter filling our homes – and our family simply watching us like ‘what’s going on’
We also shared our experience’s at Jiva Gurukulam and some thoughts as to what can be done better as a team.
Finally, we received warm wishes from the chairman along with motivational words which will definitely help us keep up and go beyond our commitments towards the students, parents, colleagues and the school.

The science fair was an endeavor to empower our students to share their learning experience and reflect on their conceptual understanding with their parents, as they have learnt to map the learning goals. It was very evident that students had applied their various skills to create a model or live demonstrative setup to articulate their understanding about the area they have explored, researched and made inquiries into.
Students picked up projects according to their own interest and age. Higher grade students came up with solutions for the current issues of traffic management, health, water management, and innovative ideas for using natural resources in efficient ways.
